Mark 3: Opposition Grows

In Mark 3, Jesus seeks to heal a man with a disfigured hand on the Sabbath. Before doing so, He asks the Pharisees who are with Him if it is lawful to save life or to kill? The Pharisees keep silent. Doing no work so the Pharisees cannot accuse Him, Jesus asks the man to merely stretch out his hand. When he does, the man's hand is healed, and Jesus had done nothing but ask the man to move his arm, something for which He could not be accused! But the Pharisees immediately plot to kill Jesus.
